The past month was relatively weak across global asset classes, following a string start to the year. Escalating trade tensions between the US and China remain a drag on markets, but closer to home Australia and New Zealand showed resilience. A stimulatory interest rate environment, lower energy costs and good company earnings should provide support for equity markets ongoing.
